B02 Macro- and meso-scopic dorsal cortical neural dynamics underlying prediction and action in common marmoset
In this project, we will investigate neural dynamics underlying prediction and action in dorsal cortical areas in common marmoset monkey. To this, we will monitor neuronal activity of dorsal cortex of marmoset using wide-field/two-photon calcium imaging techniques during animals changes their behavior in various task environments and will manipulate the neuronal activity using optogenetics to examine causal relationship between the activity and behavior. By sharing these experimental data with the theoretical groups in this research area, we will develop and validate theories of brain function related to prediction and action of animals.
